ABC's New Schedule - Lost Moved
|
Jack, Sawyer, Kate will change nights, times; Mondays are Dance-fueled; Cashmere premieres January 3.
Lost fans finally know when to clear their calendars, given that ABC today unveiled its strike-afflicted midseason prime-time schedule. The hit drama has a new night and time, moving from Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. to Thursday nights at 9 p.m.
The first episode of Lost's fourth season will air on January 31, just barely beating the February launch date that was speculated. The show currently has eight of its planned 16 episodes in the can due to complications from the writers strike.
Cashmere Mafia, from Sex and the City creator Darren Star, makes its debut Thursday, January 3, before moving to Wednesdays at 10 p.m. The show stars Lucy Liu as one of four leading ladies in New York City who must juggle their ambitious careers with their hectic love lives.
Hate Mondays but love dancing? Well, hate Mondays no longer because Dancing with the Stars spin-off Bruno vs. Carrie Ann takes over the first day of the work week starting January 7. Come March 17, Dance War will yield to the new season of Dancing with the Stars, the details of which are still to be determined.
March 17 will also see the newest season of The Bachelor, which also has not been detailed yet by ABC.
Tuesdays will be ABC's designated "funny" night, with Just for Laughs, the return of According to Jim, Carpoolers, and dramedy Boston Legal. In March, the Dancing with the Stars results show will take over for Jim and Carpoolers. Noticeably missing is any mention of the network's panned (but actually very funny, seriously) Cavemen.
ABC wasn't lying when it said that Big Shots was not cancelled. The show about four male executives living it up will be back in January after Grey's Anatomy at 10 p.m. The network recently pulled the show's remaining episodes, which left many to wonder if it had been cancelled.
However, Big Shots' stint in prime time won't last long. The new drama Eli Stone makes its premiere in February. The show stars Jonny Lee Miller (Trainspotting's Sick Boy and former Angelina Jolie beau) as a San Francisco lawyer who uses his powers of prophecy for good.
