Television icon One Tree Hill Returns Jan. 8 (On a Tuesday this time)
The CW's hit drama "One Tree Hill" returns for season five with a special two-hour premiere on Tuesday, January 8 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET). Subsequent episodes will take over the 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET timeslot beginning Tuesday, January 15, following an encore presentation of "Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants." "Reaper" will return to the schedule with original episodes later in the season.

The fifth season of "One Tree Hill" will be unprecedented in the annals of television drama, as the show leaps forward four years. Season four ended as the young characters graduated high school and season five begins, post-college, four years later. Some of the characters have found success while others have failed. Some are the same, some are very different. And while their storylines will actively move forward, the show will also dip into the past, returning to incidents and events of the last four years, sometimes for a moment or a scene, other times for an entire episode.

Television icon Journeyman's Short Journey
Kevin McKidd's days as a time-traveler may be coming to a close as option not picked up on NBC drama; final episodes will still air.

Earlier this year, Journeyman star Kevin McKidd told TV.com that the final episodes of the first season of the show would shed light on a lot of the show's inner mysteries. Up until then, his character's jumps through time and space were seemingly random and unexplained.

News icon Katherine Declares 'Knocked Up' Sexist
Actress Katherine Heigl has defended labeling her smash hit movie Knocked Up "sexist," insisting the comedy was the "best filming experience of my career". The film, in which Heigl plays a TV journalist who becomes pregnant after a one-night stand with Seth Rogen's unemployed slob, was a massive hit earlier this year and helped Heigl's earnings jump from $300,000 to $6 million per picture. But in a recent interview with Vanity Fair magazine, Heigl said, "It's a little sexist. It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys. It was hard for me to love the movie." And Heigl has now come forward to clarify the context in which she was quoted. She tells website People.com, "It's important to me to take a minute and clarify the quote about Knocked Up in Vanity Fair. I was responding to previous reviews about the movie the interviewer brought to my attention. My motive was to encourage other women like myself to not take that element of the movie too seriously and to remember that it's a broad comedy. Although I stand behind my opinion, I'm disheartened that it has become the focus of my experience with the movie. The truth is, it was the best filming experience of my career. Every person that was a part of making Knocked Up helped to encourage, support and inspire me. I never intended for anyone to think otherwise."."
